It’s Tuesday night. I attended a yoga session at 6:30. Linda Ritter was the instructor. I saw some yoga friends I hadn’t seen at class for a while. Rick is one of them. He’s very tall and has a lady friend in Columbus, Ohio. I met him at Lara’s wedding in Warsaw a few months ago. Very nice fellow. Another friend is Jennifer. I haven’t seen her in yoga class for a few weeks, but I do see her from time to time in the driveway behind my office building. She works in a medical office nearby and walks during lunch. She stopped in her car the other day and told me that she lost her keys the day before in the parking lot behind her office. A friend had to drive her home. I guess she had a way to get into the house. At any rate, she told me tonight in class that she found her keys. They were inside one of the tennis shoes she keeps in her office. Lucky she found them.
I tried walking today during my lunch break but it was not much fun. The drive that I walk on was very icy. I felt as if I might slip and fall, and also considered the possibility that a driver might slide into me. I walked for 20 minutes before making my way back to the office. This time of year is hard on fitness.
I ate lunch at my desk. This is what I normally do. This means that I often receive calls and visitors to my cube with my mouth full of food. Peanut butter is a staple of my diet, and a big mouthful of that stuff makes talking downright impossible. So I often just nod my head and grunt until I’m able to squeeze out a whole word or two. I used to go out for lunch fairly often. Now I carry it every day and read while I’m eating. Then I walk.
This morning was nothing to write home about. I’ll leave it at that.
Last night included a training session with Erin Long. I hate to admit it, but she almost wore me out. The session did not include dumbbells. We used a bar, a ball, and our mats the entire time. The yoga session tonight helped greatly to relieve some of the muscle discomfort. Tomorrow will be better.
It’s shortly after 9:30 and I’ll be in bed in a few minutes. I’m having trouble staying awake writing this blog entry and caught myself a few times writing nonsensical words and phrases. Must be time to put an end to Tuesday night.
BTW, I don’t know the girl in the photo. She just looks nice and I thought you’d enjoy seeing her.
